I’ve had more response to the Cupcake Wrapper post from last fall than any other single post at this site. Thus, I’m sharing some photos and files from a very talented and generous Klic-N-Kut designer, Judy Keating. She started with my original base file and took cupcake-wrapper designing to a whole new level! She’s been creating new files for several months now and sharing them at the various Klic-N-Kut Yahoo groups I own or moderate. The response to these files has been incredible and, as you can see from the photos below, it’s not surprising. These are so adorable and they cut beautifully on both the original Klic-N-Kut die cutters and also on the newer KNK Maxx, Groove, and Groove-E machines. Judy also has given me permisson to share the .knk files here for those of you who would like to download them and cut your own from Klic-N-Kut Studio.
Thanks so VERY much, Judy, for the time and effort you put into these designs. We eagerly look forward to each new release and I promise the readers of this site to share them again, when Judy has new ones available.
Currently, the cupcake wrapper files can be downloaded from links at this newer post:
Note that Judy designs them for both full sized cupcakes and mini cupcakes.
Design your own!
*** New *** Cupcake Wrapper Templates for Designing in KNK, MTC, SVG, EPS, PDF, and Studio formats
(Big thanks to Judy Keating for sharing her designs and to Gayle Galura-Scott for converting to .Studio for the Silhouette owners!)
The files are provided in PDF format, but I cannot imagine cutting them by hand. If you need some cut then I have a friend with a business and she will cut the for you. Just send me an email and I’ll forward it to her. My email is smccauley45@cox.net.
Can you cut these by hand and how do I go about getting the template?
Do you own the Sizzix EClips? If so, then you can purchase a program called Sure Cuts A Lot to use with your EClips and it will import these cupcake files for cutting.
I am just curious as to which die cutting machine is “said” to be “the best” for this type of work. I love the sizzix, but im not sure if that is good enough for these detailed pieces I would like to make. I can cut circles, lol, but what about this type of work. I haven’t had a chance to look to see if sizzix has a software program that can design. Super excited to get into more detailed work :). Thanks.
Just wanted to say Thank you for the free cupcake wrappers. They are great. Just cut out some for Easter.
You are welcome to sell the cupcake wrappers you cut. I recommend printing the PDF versions, print those, and they should be a good guidelines to use.
Hi there,
I am getting my Eclips machine sent to me as I type this! Yipee! I am totally new to die cutting machines and would love to make some of these cupcake wrappers to sell. Do I require a commercial license to sell these as a finished product (i.e. on my Etsy store)once I have downloaded the SVG file? I’d also like to know what size to make these for a standard & mini cupcake.
Thanks for your help!
Donna
Hello,
I have downloaded the files in SVG format, but have no idea what size I should size them to. Can you please help with this? I would like to know the size for both the mini and the normal size cupcake. Thank you very much.
Cheryl
I’ll be happy to help. Did you get the zip file downloaded to your computer first? Also, I recommend you email me at smccauley45@cox.net so we can work on this in more detail and figure out what’s not working for you! : )
I tried to download the cupcake wrappers in svg files but I couldn´t when I open the files nothing appears only “UNTITLED”, can you help me to download these beautiful cupcakes wrappers? Thanks.
Thank you for your beautiful and generous share of the cupcake wrapper download !
I might be able to find someone to do this for you.
Is there anyone out there with a KNK that would cut me 240 mini cupcake wrappers for a wedding and what would it cost?
I want to open my own business having to do with cupcakes but I really want to incorporate cupcake wrappers. With that being said I want to start making my own cupcake wrappers but don’t know where to start…can you help me? By the way your cupcake wrappers are amazing and that is exactly what I want to be able to do…

HELP! I just got my silhouette SD and Im trying to make a tab/lock closure. Any helpful hints? Im trying to make some intriquite wrappers for a wedding and cannot figure out how to create tab/lock and weld or perforate.
Judy used KNK Studio to design these. But since you own a Cricut, you might want to look into one of the designing programs that will cut to that machine, such as Make The Cut.
hi. Fist, congratulations on your art! amazing!
I’d like to know what kind of software do you use for making of this beautiful cutters. I’m from Brazil and here I could not find any information on that. Cupcakes just satarted to be a new sensation here. Recently I got a cricut machine for my cakes. Thanks for sharing those!
