 If the Zing still becomes disconnected, make sure you are using the latest Zing plugin. Check by clicking
on the little triangle in the upper right corner of the Cut with Zing window and then selecting About.
You should be running at least version 2.0.5 (if using Windows) and version 2.0.3 (if using a Mac).

 Try applying Flatten Paths before sending to the cut window. Select your shapes, click on the wrench
icon at the bottom of the screen, and select Flatten Paths from the pop up menu.

 Try changing the COM Port that has been assigned.

My cut starts but stops during the cut with the blade holder sitting in the spot where it stopped cutting. I’m very
sure that it’s not going out of range. I am using a Mac computer to run the Wine version of MTC.
 There is a setting called Data Throttle which can be used to fix this. In the cut window, click on the
small triangle shown below. Then select Advanced Options. Drop the Pause to 3. Try again and you
may need to drop it to 2. If you continue to have problems, try increasing the ms from 10 to 15.

Operating Issues

When I first turn on the Zing, the blade carriage moves to the right and starts making a terrible noise!
 There is a clear rubber piece that is located just under the top of the Zing and can sometimes become
rolled slightly out of place when the foam protector is inserted or removed. Move that rubber piece so
that the flat side is down and the blade carriage will be able to clear it as it moves to the right and into
home position. If this does not solve the issue, contact KNK USA at 800-268-3672 or your KNK dealer.

When I click on Cut Project, the blade carriage returns to the Home Origin instead of executing my cut.

 Make sure you are using Version 2.0 (or later) of the Zing plug-in. Refer to Section 2.10.

 Select your shape and click on the Advanced option (wrench icon) at the bottom of the screen. Then
select Auto Simplify Path. Try sending the file to cut again.

My mat is rotating when the Zing starts to cut!

 Both pinch wheels need to be gripping the mat. Move the mat either left or right so that it is under both
wheels.
